In this episode I am joined by Johnny Deep, Jaime, Hiram and 2 guests, Brett Galaway Founder/President of the Steak Cooking Association and Ronnie Larralde promoter of the Texas Cook'em High Steaks in Edinburg.  We start with some headlines and why we think that not that many people are paying attention the NBA Finals.  Johnny thinks its cause people don't have ABC but I think we have a better theory.

We dive into it with the 16th annual Texas Cook'em High Steaks in Edinburg.  Brett and Ronnie give us a little background on the event and how it got all started.  We talk about the new location and musical guest line up for this year.  Headlining will be Aaron Watson and opening are the Red Not Chili Peppers.  Brett tells us al little about some of the double steak events in one day.  The majority of the Steak cookoffs are following this format with more payouts and chances to get some Golden Tickets.   Ronnie has some news about the new setup for 2022 at Ebony Golf Course in Edinburg.  We also talk about the transition from IBCA sanctioning to CBA.

We invite ourselves to the next trip that Brett has planned to Alaska. Jaime wants to know some tips for first time competitive steak cooks.  Johnny talks about some tips Brett gave him when he first started doing steak cookoffs.  Alma, Queen of BBQ asks Brett what the perfect temperature is to pull a competition steak.  Ronnie wants to know about bring back the sear.
